THE CHALLENGE

The strategist came to me with a concept: take the viewer on a journey from the top floor of the show’s set down to the bottom.  Along the way, the walls seem to be closing-in on the characters. This series is very violent, so we had to be careful about which scenes to include while at the same time give a strong sense of the show’s tone.

MY STRATEGY

I focused on capturing the show’s dark comedy.  The key was finding this crooning, sentimental ballad and mixing it with the right dark, disturbing imagery from the series.
