THE CHALLENGE

Give the viewer as much context as possible in the first 15-20 seconds of the trailer.

MY STRATEGY

The main character deciding to become a cook instead of a geisha is the central element of this story.  I got that across as quickly as possible, and then fleshed out the background, tone, and trajectory of the series.  I utilized the series’ iconic original score, which helps give the trailer its distinctive tone.
