THE CHALLENGE

Re-introduce the Showtime series to old fans and, at the same time, set-up the story for uninitiated newcomers.

MY STRATEGY

My main goals were to set up the story and characters as clearly as possible, while capturing the show’s sense of humor.  Marijuana had been legalized in California since the show originally aired, so I included a few graphic cards to bring it up-to-date and acknowledge what might seem anachronistic.
